Empires

 

 

Intro

The empires are used in the game to make teams consisting of players, AI objects and other objects. The current team support is still a bit limited in the gamecode so all players have to be member of a pre-defined empire, listed below.

Certain things will be affected by the empire membership, mainly:

Taxes
AI behavior (currently friend=own empire hostile=other empire).
Color on webmaps.
Hidden objects on the starchart.
Empire code shown in game client.

The empire membership is not very important at the moment, except for the AI behaviour etc. The differences between the pre-defined empires below is not important either, the player should pick the empire who "feels" most proper for the type of game he likes, but in general the gameplay will be mostly the same for everyone.

In general most players will stick with their empire members when playing, but it is still allowed to join the other empire's players and also to fight with "friendly" players - if they agree.

 

TGI

Traders Guild

Color: Green

Primary mission: Keeping trade routes and economic running

Travels everywhere, looking for good trade routes. Tries to avoid trouble, unless in war or a good profit is available. Lives spread around the galaxy, not to close to each other.

 

CMC

Chaos Maker Clan

Color: Red

Primary mission: Hide on the astroids and do whatever they like.

May attack anyone, even own empire members.
No one will care if you attack a chaos vessel (except for the owner and allies).
Lives in clusters of random size at random places in the galaxy.

 

PKU

Peace Keeper Union

Color: Yellow

Primary mission: Protect the guest area and keep peace inside the universe.

Should protect the weak from the strong.
Lives in larger clusters with neutral policy.

 

WFG

Warrior Fleet Galaxia

Color: Blue

Primay mission: Protect the universe against external enemies.

Lives in medium clusters, and build up fleets for large attacks.
Should avoid attacking civiliance/neutrals.
